The 4 Pillars of Emotional Balance

This course consists of 4 modules. Ideally, you stick with each module for at least one week so that you can really experience what the module has to offer you. Each week we’ll focus on one of the 4 cornerstones of emotional balance:

  • Module 1:  Relaxation

  • Module 2: Grounding

  • Module 3: Healing

  • Module 4: Energizing

The Modules

Each module consists of:

  • A short introductory lecture on the topic

    Each module starts with a short video lecture to dive into the topic of the week. You’ll get lots of valuable background information, food for thought, and inspiration. We’ll talk about stress, anxiety, burnout, high sensitivity, overwhelm, lethargy, and depression.

  • A guided yoga class

    Each module has a dedicated yoga practice that you can practice throughout the week. Each class gives you an experiential understanding of the topic and will help you develop calm, resiliency, and joyfulness. In total, there are 4 full guided yoga classes in this course.

  • Journaling prompts to deepen self-reflection on the module’s topic

    Each week, you’ll also get self-reflection and journaling prompts to help you gain insight into your thoughts and digest your feelings. You’ll also discover beliefs and patterns that lie at the base of experiences like stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety — and how to turn them around.

Extra Lectures

In the last module of this course, you find an extra lecture that talks specifically about yoga for depression and anxiety. It gives you insight into the different faces of depression and anxiety from a yogic perspective, and how you can adapt a yoga practice to nurture your very own needs. You’ll also find a cheat sheet with a nice overview of the different symptoms of depression and anxiety.
